Frequently Asked Questions

How many people can I have in a free trial?

At this time we suggest no more than two people take the free trial at once.  This is so the free trial can simulate the real learning experience as accurately as possible.

How many classes should I purchase?

The number of classes that a customer should purchase can vary greatly depending on your desires.  If you are looking for your student to get High School Credit we recommend purchasing 60 classes per full High School Credit (1 Year of Spanish Education).  If you are an adult traveling who just wants to learn the basics before a trip we recommend taking between 15-30 classes depending on your time frame before your trip.  A goal of fluency would require 60 classes minimum as each student learns at a different pace, and in many circumstances would take much longer than 60 classes to achieve fluency.  For Kids and Early Development classes it is completely personal preference depending on the goals you have for your child.  The classes are only 25 minutes long, so take that information into account when purchasing classes.

May I make purchases using two separate credit cards?

At this time you are only able to purchase Packages with one credit card.  If you want to pay for two separate packages with two separate credit cards that is possible, however you cannot split the price of one package to two separate cards.

Can I schedule multiple classes at a time?

You are more than welcome to schedule multiple classes at a time.  We actually recommend doing so in order to guarantee time slots and teachers that you prefer. Feel free to schedule all of the classes in your package at once, or take your time and figure out what works for you.  It is all about personal preference!

How does HSA select teachers?

Homeschool Spanish Academy looks for several qualities when hiring teachers to teach Spanish. With a very selective hiring process, HSA selects only the highest quality candidates when hiring teachers to become part of our team.

  • Teaching experience and certification to teach Spanish as a second language
  • English proficiency and the ability to speak understandable English
  • The interest and enthusiasm to work with students who want to learn.
