1. Go on a family road trip for a memorable vacation.
One of the best ways to make memories that will last a lifetime is to take a family trip. Not only will you create memories you can look back on and share with your family for years to come, but you’ll also bond with your family and create lasting relationships. On our family trips, we make up a theme song that we sing as a family the week leading up to our trip, on the trip, and often a week after our trip is over.
Our little family song makes our vacation feel special. Whether you’re taking a trip to the beach or the mountains, or even just visiting a new city, there’s no better way to make memories than by taking a family trip.
So, if you’re looking for a way to make some unforgettable memories, be sure to plan a family trip. It’s an experience that you and your family will never forget.

“This is the best way for your kid to learn Spanish. It’s one-on-one, taught by native Spanish speakers, and uses a curriculum.”
– Sharon K, Parent of 3
“It’s a great way to learn Spanish, from native Spanish speakers in a 1-on-1 environment. It’s been fairly easy to schedule classes around my daughter’s other classes. The best value for us has been ordering multiple classes at a time. All the instructors have been great!”
– Cindy D, Parent of 3
“HSA offers very affordable, quality, one on one classes with a native speaker. My son has greatly benefited from taking classes. We have seen his confidence increase as well as his pronunciation improve, because he learns from a native Spanish speaker. HSA has quick, personal customer service. Our family has been very pleased with our experience so far!”
– Erica P. Parent of 1
2. Hit up the pool or beach to create a trip to remember.
When you reach your final destination, hitting up the pool or the beach is perfect for creating a trip to remember. There’s nothing more fun than splashing around in the water with your kids. Whether you’re swimming, sunbathing, or just relaxing by the water, a trip to the pool or beach is always a great way to enjoy some quality time with your family.
Plus, it’s a great way to get some exercise and have some fun in the sun.
My toddler girls learned how to win during one of our family trips. We spent every day at the pool and every day they practiced jumping in, floating, and swimming. They had so much fun, got tired out, and actually took a nap every day of our vacation. That’s a parent’s dream right there! So, hit up the pool or beach on your next vacation and create a trip to remember.
3. Go to theme parks and attractions for a memorable vacation!
A family trip to a theme park or attraction can be a great way to make lasting memories. There’s nothing like seeing the looks on your kids’ faces as they experience the joys and thrills of a theme park for the first time. And of course, it’s also a lot of fun for adults too.
This summer we went to SeaWorld and my children loved Sesame Street. My four-year-old went on her first roller coaster and my three-year-old saw her first parade at Sesame Street. And what child wouldn’t be amazed at seeing real life orcas and dolphins?
Whether you’re enjoying the rides, watching the shows, or simply taking in the atmosphere, a theme park vacation will be a trip to remember. So if you’re looking for a memorable vacation that everyone will enjoy, be sure to hit up some theme parks and attractions.

4. Have fun and play games for a memorable vacation
Families often take vacations together to spend quality time and create memories that will last a lifetime. While it’s important to schedule some thrilling activities, such as amusement parks and beach days, on the trip, there’s also value in just enjoying each other’s company and having some simple fun. Games like I Spy or trivia games can be played anywhere.
My young children love when I pop quiz them on things they see when we are simply just walking around, like, “how do you say tree in Spanish?” It’s an easy way to incorporate what they’ve been learning in their online Spanish classes while having fun.
Playing make-believe games, such as pretending to go on missions, is perfect for family trips. When we were at SeaWorld, we pretended to be explorers in the Antartica on a mission to save the penguins. It was so much fun! By including a mix of both types of activities, you’ll ensure that everyone has a trip to remember.
5. Take lots of pictures and videos of your family trip
A family vacation is a trip to remember. To make sure you capture all the memorable moments, be sure to take lots of pictures and videos. You can make a photo book or short movie recapping your trip with your family.
Have everyone in the family in on the fun! Take turns taking pictures or shooting video will help you get everyone’s personality in the final product. And don’t forget to take some shots of just the scenery-it’s a big part of what makes a vacation so special.
This will be a fun way to relive all the highlights from your memorable vacation and to share. With a little planning, to come home with memories that will last a lifetime.
Final Advice? Leave the Worries at Home!
Vacations can feel like a big deal. The bottom line is, if you want to make memories with your family, don’t worry about every little detail. Let go of the pressure to have the perfect weekend and just focus on having fun. Relax and enjoy being together. And when in doubt, break the rules a little–it’s all part of the fun!
