1. Abeka Homeschool Preschool Bible Kit (Two and Three-Year-Old)

The Abeka kit for the youngest students offers a set of printed Bible stories with accompanying resources. Your kid will memorize scripture and songs and learn a lot through resources adapted to their age!

Mission and goals: To equip your child with all the tools you need to fill their mind with the teachings of Christ.

2. BJU Press Bible Truths K4 Homeschool Kit

Bible Truths is a series by BJU Press Bible, and this specific curriculum has been specially designed for kindergarten 4-year pupils. The series teaches young learners obedience, kindness, contentment, prayer, honesty, and other essential values.

The whole curriculum is for 9 months with 5 cards for each week. It includes both the Teacher’s Edition and the Student’s Packet.

Mission and goals: The goal stated is “that the gospel will be clear,” and the philosophy of the series is to follow as closely as possible what the Bible says.

Assessments: None, as assessment at that level is based on observation. However, some review activities and questions are proposed.

3. Awana

Awana Preschool Ministries ™ teaches biblical truths to preschool students through a homeschool bible curriculum.

You can choose from a curriculum, “Puggles” for young children (2-3) or “Cubbies” for preschool children (3-5). You can download free samples at the Awana site.

Mission and goals: To teach biblical truths and develop respect for God, His Son, and His Word.

Assessments: None.

Additional Resources: Parent resources include a leader guide, teaching plans, and online training. You can also shop for other resources and materials such as recognition certificates, display cards, CDs, stickers, etc.

Instructional style: Kids learn through playtime, songs, and simple crafts and activities. Lessons are age-appropriate, using colorful cards, finger puppets, and plays. Older kids will also play non-competitive games to reinforce lesson themes.

Price: Start at $11 per child, but you can build your package, and the yearly fee will increase when you add more elements.

4. Answers for Kids Bible Curriculum

It’s one of my favorite curricula for elementary kids.

Apologia offers on their website a Bible curriculum for homeschool that helps your kids to know the big picture and read the Word with passion and real understanding. It’s a beautifully designed two-volume Bible study curriculum for K-8th grade students to cover in one academic year if you do one weekly lesson.

Mission and goals: To give students a deeper understanding of how the whole Bible stories form together a single story of God’s Love.

Assessments: There is no testing component. Comprehension can be checked through numerous tasks and activities.

Additional Resources: The textbook is accompanied by a journal and an audiobook that can be purchased separately or included in the Advantage Ser.

Instructional style: The curriculum gets the kids moving to help them remember key places, people, and events from the bible. It combines streaming videos, vibrant illustrations, engaging narratives, discussion questions, and character profiles. In addition, it combines multiple learning styles—visual, auditory, verbal, and kinetic.
