25+ Resources to Promote Spanish Listening Practice for Kids

Spanish listening practice is key to mastering this language. It’s even more important for kids, as it’s easier to train your ear at an early age.

Native Spanish speakers speak quickly. They fuse syllables and often “swallow” the endings. Practice is key to understanding how and why they do it and being able to successfully comprehend Spanish.

Listening comprehension is the skill that teens and adults struggle with. The sounds in your target language are different from the ones in your mother tongue.

The earlier your kids start with Spanish listening practice, the better results they’ll obtain. While working on your kids vocabulary is important, be sure not to neglect Spanish listening practice.

Investment in your kids’ listening skills empowers them to understand others and make themselves understood.

Keep reading to discover valuable kid-friendly resources that focus on listening skills in Spanish! I’ve included tools for beginners, intermediate and older learners.

The science is clear—learning another language will have a direct positive impact on your child’s academic achievement. Compared to those without an additional language, bilingual children have improved reading, writing, and math skills, and they generally score higher on standardized tests.
