Types of Toys: Vocabulary (Free Spanish Lessons for Kids)
Los juguetes, or toys, are kid-focused objects used to entertain and even educate. It’s through toys that children explore, discover, learn, and interact in situations that teach them problem-solving skills and strengthen their development. What’s more, playing with toys improves fine and gross motor skills, promotes visualizing objectives, and turns your child into a self-directed explorer.
Children have the ability to relate to toys both as objects and means of playing, which encourage expressions and representation of different aspects of their reality. In other words, toys put kids in contact with both human-made and natural reproductions of the world around them.

For this age, toys that talk are really popular, so are las muñecas, or dolls in Spanish, and las figuras de acción, or action figures. Toys that sing, especially those that resemble popular movies or TV characters are also very popular!
And last, but not least, at this age, technological toys are really popular and useful. Toy computers or tablets like those from Leapfrog or Vtech toys are a great way to introduce kids to technology without exposing them to the internet or risking expensive technology being broken.
