For homeschooling parents and Spanish educators, having reliable Spanish videos for elementary students is a must! When it comes to Spanish for beginners, using fun tools makes teaching and learning much easier.

1. ¡Sí, Yo Puedo!

This video from Super Simple Español is a must for any age. Learning the verb poder (to be able) is necessary for elementary learners. Learning Spanish for kids is easy when you have videos to teach complex grammar topics.

This video is perfect for picking up around the house, teaching kids what they can do, and encouraging them. It also teaches what animals can’t do which is a great way to teach yo puedo and no puedo. 

Make a list with kids of different things that animals can and can’t do. Have kids role play and be different animals saying what they can and can’t do.

2. Es hora de depertar

Spanish songs for kids are great for them to remember what to do and how to do it. This video from HeyKids.es is a great way to teach kids about time and daily routines. 

This one is excellent to teach kids the importance of waking up, brushing their teeth, having breakfast, and the like. If you’re working with older kids, create a checklist of daily activities in Spanish.

3. El tiempo

El tiempo is a video by GaMar Talk that explains the weather and temperature. She’s from Spain but doesn’t have a heavy accent. 

It’s ideal to have props for this video and show kids different kinds of weather. Encourage the students to draw their favorite season and share why it is their favorite.

4. La playa

Spanish videos for elementary students can be simple and fun. This Basho and Friends video for young Spanish learners is about activities at the beach! It’s rap song that kids can easily remember. 

You could even have a playa day at school or home and dress like you’re going to the beach so that kids can talk about what they are wearing, what colors they see, and what they plan on doing at the beach—using Spanish vocabulary.

9. Spanish Greetings for Kids

Spanish Academy TV is our very own YouTube Channel! This video teaches kids greetings in Spanish. Saying hello and goodbye varies a lot from country to country. This video is both a vocabulary video and cultural video so that kids can learn how to greet people in Spanish-speaking countries. 

In this educational video, the teacher asks the kids to repeat many words and phrases. At the end, she reviews all the vocabulary, which is an excellent way to test their comprehension.
