8 Spanish Youtubers Who Make Language Learning Fun

Watching Spanish youtubers is a super popular learning method for Spanish students.

Why? Because it’s fun to watch videos while learning a new skill. Providing entertaining language learning resources has become a competitive playing field with endless options to choose from.

As a language expert, I always aim to make the learning experience enjoyable. This is key because if you don’t enjoy the experience, it’s unlikely that you’ll want to continue with it.

YouTube is an excellent tool for learning Spanish. These Spanish youtubers speak in a way that’s easier to understand than audiobooks, movies, or series, so they’re ideal to watch when you’re getting started on your Spanish learning journey.

Finding Spanish youtubers that you love will help you improve your Spanish while binge-watching great content. YouTube is a quick and easy way to supplement your Spanish studies—and best of all, it won’t feel like you’re studying!

8 Spectacular Spanish Youtubers to Watch

I’ve compiled this curated list so that you can benefit from watching the best Spanish youtubers out there. It includes both educational channels for beginning Spanish learners and more complex content for intermediate to advanced students.

Spanish youtubers

1. Why Not Spanish

Levels: beginner to advanced

Language: Colombian Spanish (content explained in Spanish and English)

Subscribers: 159K

Why Not Spanish is an inventive channel where Cody, an American learning Spanish, and Maria, a teacher from Colombia, offer videos that feature skits practicing everyday activities.

Guests from different Spanish-speaking countries expose you to a variety of accents. They offer quizzes at the end of the videos so that you can test how much you understood. They also provide free worksheets and paid courses.

2. Español con Juan

Levels: intermediate to advanced

Language: European Spanish with Latin American guests

Subscribers: 171K

Español con Juan is a channel where Juan Fernandez, a Spanish teacher from Spain, explains grammar and pronunciation topics. He’s personable and has a good sense of humor, which makes his videos easy and fun to understand.

This channel is ideal for lower intermediate level students and up. What I like about this Spanish youtuber is that all of his videos are 100% in Spanish, and he includes grammar and vocabulary in his content. Games and stories are also featured in these videos.

Juan also has a podcast with Spanish transcripts, activities, and paid courses on specific topics.

3. Spanishland School

Levels: Intermediate to advanced

Language: Colombian Spanish and explanations in English

Subscribers: 66K

Spanishland School features Andrea, an upbeat Spanish teacher from Colombia. This channel is ideal to help you move beyond the beginner level. Andrea encourages you to push yourself and offers lessons where she joyfully helps you improve your grammar, pronunciation, and vocabulary skills.

Her videos focus on improving fluency and listening to real-world scenarios. She does speak a lot of English, which is convenient if you’re more of a beginner student. Her videos are about 10 minutes long with clear explanations of vocabulary, grammar, and cultural topics to help expand your Spanish knowledge.

4. Gibby

Level: All levels

Language: Spoken Spanish

Subscribers: 11.6

Gibby is a little girl with a huge following. I love her because she speaks clearly and it’s a wonderful idea to have a kid explain to other kids or even young adults how to practice Spanish in a fun way. Her topics are appropriate and fun for everyone to try out as a family!

Her videos are also well-edited and detail what she is explaining. She has topics such as 10 cosas que todos odiamos and games such as Adivina la frase o pastelazo. Her introductions are fast and it is very easy to learn with her friendliness and sweetness with the audience.

5. Spanish Academy TV

Levels: beginner to advanced

Language: Spanish and some explanations in English

Subscribers: 4.64K

Spanish Academy TV is Homeschool Spanish Academy’s very own Spanish channel featuring videos for both kids and adults. It offers thorough explanations on a variety of topics including grammar, pronunciation, culture, and games!

You’ll find different native speakers explaining the content in English and Spanish. Learn more about our story and see why HSA has grown so much in a fairly short amount of time.

6. Easy Spanish

Levels: Beginner to advanced

Language: Spanish and English videos with subtitles for different levels

Subscribers: 120K

Easy Spanish is a non-profit organization that helps people learn Spanish through interviews conducted on the street. Their videos are short, enjoyable, and effective because they’re relatable.

I recommend this channel for those who want to improve their listening skills. If you’d like to take your skills to the next level, practice interviewing anyone you know who speaks Spanish.

7. Butterfly Spanish

Levels: beginner to advanced

Language: Spanish and English

Subscribers: 804K

The Butterfly Spanish channel features Ana, a native Mexican youtuber who covers grammar, spelling, and listening topics. She provides back-to-basics refreshers on many Spanish topics, such as the difference between ser and estar.

Ana offers some 40-minute videos if you’re looking for more complex topics such as idioms or learning animal names. If you’re short on time, Ana also posts 20-minute videos on how to construct Spanish sentences correctly.

8. Yo Soy Jechu

Levels: All levels

Language: Spoken Spanish

Subscribers: 182K

Yo Soy Jechu is another young Spanish YouTuber who loves to help others in their Spanish-speaking journey.

She is from Chile and her videos are packed with fun games, trivia questions, and fun practice for students of all ages. Videos made by young people for kid audiences are excellent because the content is easy to understand and learn from.

Sometimes her introductions are a bit long so if you want to just jump into the topic you can fast forward a bit and get right to it. She covers current topics that are important to children such as emojis, life online, and gymnastics.

Let’s Practice!

The fun thing about videos is how interactive and engaging they can be. I encourage you to check out these Spanish youtubers’ videos and take notes. Then, you can read your note out loud and perhaps even record a video (or audio) clip of your own to hear your pronunciation.

Now that you know which Spanish youtubers are worth watching, which will you watch first? What other Spanish youtubers do you love? Let me know in a comment.
