Take a look at our top 10 most favorite homeschool planners for 2022 to see which one works for you!
What’s In a Good Planner? (4 Items)
There are many types of planners, online lesson planners, weekly planners, student planners, and teacher planners, to name just a few.
Nevertheless, all good planners have some features in common:
1. Goals
Make sure the planner you choose has an area for you to write your child’s homeschool goals.
2. Schedule
This is crucial. If you want to have a good planner, you need to be able to schedule in advance the following days, weeks, and months.
3. Attendance Record
This may sound silly, as you’re at home. But there will be days when you and your child can’t “attend” your homeschool activities.
Also, some state programs require that you keep one.
4. Checklist
The best homeschool planners include checklists. They will help you keep track of your child’s responsibilities for the day.

Top 10 Homeschool Planners for 2022
Without further ado, here are our Top 10 homeschool planners for 2022:
1. Hobonichi Cousin
The Hobonichi Cousin is a planner popular among homeschool moms. It comes with monthly, weekly, and daily page views, which is handy for planning your day.
The Cousin model is just one planner of the Hobonichi Techo brand. The company that made it has been amazingly successful over the past 20 years for several reasons:
- Graph paper design that allows for straight writing
- Different sizes and covers
- Lay-flat binding that allows your planner to lay “completely flat without being held down”
- Inspiring and original daily quotes
The Hobonichi Cousin includes yearly and monthly calendars and weekly and daily pages.
It has a beautiful design, placed on top of an A5 size template, making it the ultimate homeschool planner and essential organizer.
Get it here for less than $30.
2. Erin Condren Lesson Planner
This one was originally designed as a teacher planner, but it’s so good that it has become a favorite among homeschool moms.
Designed by successful stay-at-home mom Erin Condren, you can convert this teacher planner into a helpful lesson planner for homeschool.
It includes a customizable and durable hard cover, weekly planner, checklist pages, a helpful mini months section, monthly calendar, yearly overview, graph sheets, and productivity planner, among other distinctive features.
Get it at the Erin Condren website for $55, or 4 installments of $13.75.
3. Charlotte Mason Inspired Homeschool Planner
The Anna Vancer Paper Company created this gorgeous handcrafted homeschool planner, one of my favorites.
I liked that everything about this planner seemed to be carefully thought and made with patience and love.
With this planner, you can map your years in a straightforward way (see image). Also, plan by month and week, keep attendance and even personalize your cover, starting month, binding option, and planner setup.
Get it at the Anna Vance Paper Co website for $72, or 4 installments of $18.
4. Plum Paper Parent Planner
Plum Paper is another company that has had great success designing beautiful, personalizable, easy-peasy homeschool planners.
Among their wide offer of planners and notebooks, they offer the Distant Learning Parent Planner, designed explicitly for homeschool parents.
This planner comes in two sizes (7’’x9’’and 8.5’’x11’’) and four different layouts (vertical classes, daily, entire week grid, and Mon-Fri grid). That way, you can choose which is the best fit for you.
Additionally, all the planners include the following sections:
- Daily routine
- Yearly goals
- Project tracker
- Distance Learning notes
- Resources
- Adventure & Outings
- Website information
Get yours at the Plum Paper website, starting at $24 and $34, depending on the size you choose.
5. The Big Fat Secular Homeschool Planner
The great thing about the Big Fat Secular Homeschool Planner is not that it’s big or fat but secular. In other words, you won’t find faith-based quotes in this planner.
You can also buy it pre-printed online or get a cheaper, printable version in PDF.
The BFSHP includes monthly calendar pages, weekly planning pages, month in review, resource organizer, record-keeping section, and end-of-year pages.
You can add bullets, unit study planners, an attendance tracker, and book logs.
This planner was widely popular in previous years, with its own Instagram account with almost 3,000 followers and YouTube videos.
It’s taking a little break this year. Its fans, however, are still awaiting the launching of the 2022-2023 Big Fat Secular Homeschool Planner.

6. The Happy Planner
The Happy Planner is one of the most popular homeschool planners in the market.
It comes with most of the features included in the other planners, such as weekly planners, school records, calendars, and notes.
However, it also includes unique features such as morning time plans, a memory work section, and its distinctive three-day boxes.
Nonetheless, the best thing about the Happy Planner is that it comes in various layouts from which you can choose the one that best suits you.
They offer undated and dated planners, vertical, horizontal, dashboard, teacher + student layout, and lots of stickers and accessories to make it a truly happy planner.
Get yours at the Happy Planner website, starting at $29.99.
7. Bloom Daily Planner
The Bloom Daily Planner is a company that specializes in producing quality planners for different needs. In a way, that’s both a pro and a con.
It’s an advantage because you can choose from a wide variety of planners (vision planners, ultimate planners, monthly planners, and teacher planners, among others) and choose the one that better fits your family’s needs.
Nonetheless, it can also be a disadvantage as none of the Bloom Planners has been specifically designed for the homeschool experience.
That doesn’t mean they aren’t helpful for homeschooling. It means that they aren’t customized for this type of education.
For instance, I’ve found that both the teacher and ultimate planners make great homeschool planners.
Get yours at the Bloom Daily Planners Amazon store for $32.95.
8. Organized Homeschool Planner
This is a planner created with the homeschool family in mind.
It features a vision planner of 15 pages to set the homeschool vision you have for your family. Then, after that first all-important section, you get over 30 pages of planning, daily schedule, and curriculum planning pages, followed by ten pages of organizing space.
Then you can access 20 pages of individualized student plans and over 100 pages for monthly goals and memory keepers.
As you can see, the Organized Homeschool Planner is a complete planner that aims to respond to many of your kid’s needs as a homeschool student.
Get yours here for $49.
9. Homeschool Planet Planner
Advertised as “the world’s best homeschool planner,” the Planet Planner is undoubtedly an excellent planner for homeschooling. I wouldn’t call it the best in the world, but it is excellent!
This is a digital planner with home, school, and work schedules all in one place and plug-in lessons for popular curricula.
The Homeschool Planet Planner also features automatic rescheduling, reminders, daily and weekly digests, and a useful lesson plan marketplace.
Also, you can try it for free during its 30-day trial period.
Sign up here for $7.95 monthly or $69.95 annual access.
10. Evernote
Evernote is a very smart app that can be set up as a homeschool planner.
With it, you can create notes, stacks, and notebooks. You can also make your homeschool scope and sequence here.
So if you don’t want a bulky planner, Evernote might be your option.
Besides the features already mentioned, Evernote lets you state your goals for the school year.
The amazing thing about Evernote is its flexibility. The app lets you create whatever you want, including big picture goals, memory lists, school book lists, plan your homeschool year, and much more.
You can use a limited version of the app for free or get a plan starting at $7 per month.

“It’s a great way to learn Spanish, from native Spanish speakers in a 1-on-1 environment. It’s been fairly easy to schedule classes around my daughter’s other classes. The best value for us has been ordering multiple classes at a time. All the instructors have been great!”
– Cindy D, Parent of 3
“HSA offers very affordable, quality, one on one classes with a native speaker. My son has greatly benefited from taking classes. We have seen his confidence increase as well as his pronunciation improve, because he learns from a native Spanish speaker. HSA has quick, personal customer service. I have appreciated the one on one interaction and teaching that my son gets from his teachers. He has gotten to know his teachers, which has increased his confidence in speaking Spanish. Our family has been very pleased with our experience so far!”
– Maple, Parent of 3
“My Son, Heath, is taking the classes. He’s been with Luisa the entire time and we absolutely love her. She is always patient and is a great teacher. Heath’s dad speaks Spanish so they get to have little conversations.”
– William R, Parent of 3
