11 Best Websites for Free Homeschooling Worksheets

Does your child need some high-quality worksheets for homeschooling? This easy-access and vetted list of websites is filled with free homeschooling worksheets, printables, and other resources you need!

Aside from free worksheets, you’ll also find free planners, unit studies, and other materials in these websites.

Enjoy!

If Your Child Is Being Homeschooled, You’ll Want Worksheets!

Homeschooling worksheets are essential to every homeschooling student. But, it’s just part of the daily lesson plan. You need your books and materials, something to work on, and packets of free homeschool printables are one of the best ways to go.

However, not all worksheets are created equal!

Therefore parents must find websites that let them download useful and well-designed homeschool worksheets kits.

11 Best Websites for Free Homeschooling Worksheets

In the following list, I mention important information for each website, including the site’s address, what they offer, age range, price (if applicable), and a screenshot to give you an idea of what they look like.

Finally, I’m also adding a brief description of each site—with my assessment of it.

1. Education.com

Website: education.com

What they offer: lesson plans, worksheets, games, activities, exercises, science projects, songs, and stories

For ages: kindergarten to 8th grade

Price: some materials are available for free, and a Premium account, starting at $10.99 per month, grants you access to the entire website

This is one of my favorite websites. Its design is quite simple, and it’s easy to navigate.

From the moment you create an account, you can tell the website the type of materials you’re looking for: worksheets for kindergarten, 1st grade, reading comprehension, Math, French, etc.

This way, the site prioritizes what your kid might need.

education.com offers not just worksheets but games, songs, and interactive stories, making homeschooling education more fun and interesting.

2. TES

Website: tes.com

What they offer: lesson plans, worksheets, fun classes, science resources, blog articles

For ages: from early years, primary, secondary, and students with special needs

Price: there is plenty of free material available, as well as a pay-as-you-go option from as low as $1

Many teachers around the world use Tes, and it can be very helpful for homeschool parents too.

It doesn’t matter if you’re looking for resources for second graders or tenth graders. There is plenty for everyone.

The variety of subjects is also outstanding. Here I’ve found a bit of everything, from phonics and geography worksheets to music and social studies materials.

Tes’ library seems to be unlimited.

The only thing that I don’t love about Tes is that it’s designed primarily based on British school programs.

3. Homeschool Helper Online

Website: homeschoolhelperonline.com

What they offer: unit studies worksheets, notebooking, and lapbooking

For ages: all ages

Price: there is plenty of free material available, as well as a pay-as-you-go option from as low as $0.99

I like this website because it’s made explicitly for homeschooling.

The Smith sisters created Homeschool Helper Online to help their children during their homeschooling journey.

The site is filled with free materials, from science worksheets to math unit studies, including holiday resources and the fascinating concepts of notebooking and lapbooking.

Then you can also buy much more extensive materials.

4. Homeschool Spanish Academy

Website: spanish.academy

What they offer: free Spanish lessons, printables, games, activities, infographics, and resource lists

For ages: from early ages to adults, including elementary, middle school, and high school students

Price: free

If your child is homeschooling a foreign language, this collection of free materials and resources is simply the best.

As its names suggest, Homeschool Spanish Academy is a Spanish school focused on homeschooling. HSA offers lots of free lessons and materials about different subjects such as science, history, holidays, nutrition, and more.

Obviously, their strength is in Spanish basics and Spanish grammar, but what’s interesting about their approach is that your child can learn about the water cycle or the digestive system while learning Spanish at the same time.

You can access a free printable homeschool curriculum that can become a guideline for your child’s Spanish studies.

Finally, if your child is ready for a more full-on approach to Spanish, you can sign up for a free trial lesson and try their unique language learning system.

5. Twinkle

Website: twinkl.com

What they offer: templates, worksheets, booklets, activities, games, printables, art projects, resource packs, and more

For ages: from 0 to 14+

Price: there is plenty of free material available, as well as a pay-as-you-go option from as low as $1.00

As a teacher of both elementary and middle school students, I use no website more than Twinkl.

It offers a seemingly infinite library of materials for all ages, and they’re designed with a wide array of programs in mind. You can find here resources for the American curriculum, the English National Curriculum, and international curriculums from other countries around the world.

You can search by subject, age, or curriculum or simply type what you need in their search engine and get the best results.

There are plenty of free materials. But to make the most of Twinkl, I strongly recommend you pay the premium membership for $5.00 a month.

6. Teachers Pay Teachers

Website: teacherspayteachers.com

What they offer: worksheets, printables, projects, lesson plans, assessments, math centers, literacy center ideas, and independent work packets

For ages: from pre-K to 12th grade

Price: there are plenty of free materials available, plus pay-as-you-go options starting as low as $1.00

I love the idea behind this website.

Namely, teachers create materials and sell them to other teachers around the world. I think it’s an excellent way for teachers to monetize some of the massive work they put into education.

Teachers Pay Teachers it’s an American website that started in New York, but it now has a global reach with over 1 billion resources downloaded.

The only thing that I don’t like about this website is that you have to pay for individual materials (unless you choose a free resource, of course).

7. Print ‘N’ Practice

Website: printnpractice.com

What they offer: worksheets, handwriting practice pages, phonics practice, interactive worksheets, and remote learning packets

For ages: from pre-K to 6th grade

Price: there is plenty of free material available, and you can also buy bundles of over 100 pages for as low as $9.98.

Print ‘N’ Practice offers a lot of free worksheets classified by subjects and grades. You can also buy bundles or other specific materials.

I like that it has different sections for teachers/tutors, homeschooling, and digital interactive learning exercises “with no login, no sign-up, no voucher, no account, and no credit card.”

If you’re looking for quick, easy-to-get worksheets, this is your site. Also, I recommend their spelling worksheets, phonic lessons, and handwriting practices. Their bundles are great since they are a bunch of worksheets put together.

And books with up to 1,300 pages are also available for free.

Pint ‘N’ Practice’s website, however, is a bit hard to navigate. But if you know what you’re looking for, you can find real gems here.

8. Homeschool.com

Website: homeschool.com

What they offer: worksheets, printables, puzzles, curriculums, activities, coloring pages, organization packs, ebooks, student planners, calendars, and more

For ages: from pre-K to 12th grade

Price: free

This website is focused on providing general homeschooling services, not just worksheets.

Homeschool.com has a good library or free printable resources. However, they’re more general materials designed to solve homeschooling needs, such as calendars, learning plans, unit studies, and study guides.

But this doesn’t mean you can’t find the typical book report worksheet.

You can search for its materials by preschool, elementary, middle/high school, or via a section for parents. Additionally, they classify their printables by general homeschool, elementary homeschool, and ‘other’ categories.

Finally, everything on the site is free.

9. Free Homeschool Deals

Website: freehomeschooldeals.com

What they offer: worksheets, printables, unit studies, themed homeschool lists, lapbooks, games, Kindle freebie, and Amazon deals

For ages: pre-school, elementary, middle school, and high school

Price: free materials and homeschool deals

Free Homeschool Deals is a wonderfully eclectic website!

It offers several free printables, free instant downloads, but also interesting Amazon deals, free and cheap Kindle books, and other coupons and deals for the homeschooling family.

This last feature is what I think sets this website apart. I haven’t seen something similar anywhere else.

Yes, there are plenty of free worksheets, printables, and unit studies that you can search by subject, grade, or using their search engine.

But I like the way they include great deals that can be helpful for any homeschooling family.

10. 123 Homeschool 4 Me

Website: 123homeschool4me.com

What they offer: worksheets, printables, books, activities, recipes, and games

For ages: from pre-K to high school

Price: there is plenty of free material available, as well as pay-as-you-go options from as low as $1.99.

This is an excellent website that offers over 1 million free printable materials for kids from preschool age to 8th grade.

Most of the resources are entirely free. However, the site’s founder has created useful bundles and books available at affordable prices—this helps the site continue its work.

You can search by grade or using their search engine.

One important thing: they only have categories up to 6th grade in their menu. However, I found materials for 7th and 8th grade and even some resources for high school.

11. Soft Schools

Website: softschools.com

What they offer: worksheets, printables, games, and quizzes

For ages: from pre-K to high school

Price: free

Soft Schools is a site that provides worksheets and games categorized by grade and subject.

Some of the math and phonics worksheets are auto-generated. Remember that you need to register to create your own quizzes, word searches, games, or worksheets.

With Soft Schools, you can personalize your own worksheets according to your needs.

Also, I know from experience that all you need is a simple worksheet that’s already available and ready to use most of the time.

Softschools.com offers online book summaries, facts lists, and other useful online resources. The materials can be found by grade or subject.

Strategies to Combine Worksheets and Learning

If you put together the 11 websites I just recommended, you’ll get more materials than what all of your children put together will ever have access to elsewhere.

Now you may think, “How can I organize these resources and use them smartly?”

Don’t despair.

Follow these three strategies to combine worksheets and learn and make the most of your child’s homeschooling experience:

1. A Video and a Worksheet

Children need to learn through different styles, and you need to provide them with types of materials to enhance and enrich their learning process.

Worksheets are great resources that let your child apply what they have learned and work independently. However, I’ve found that starting a lesson with a video helps catch students’ attention and make the whole class more interesting from their point of view.

2. A Worksheet Then a Project

Once your child has finished solving a worksheet, allow them to take the next step: develop a longer project about the same topic.

For instance, if your kid just finished a solar system worksheet, look for interesting ideas about how they can use that knowledge to create a project. They can build a model or do a paper on

every planet in our solar system.

3. Worksheets as Reinforcement

Sometimes we as teachers—and parents— think that worksheets are the main part of a lesson. But they’re not more than a supporting tool most of the time.

Try to approach different topics in different ways. Also, try to use worksheets as reinforcement work once you have already left a topic behind.

Just to make sure that the knowledge has solidified and your child can move on to the next subject.

Improve Your Child’s Homeschooling Experience

Homeschooling is a beautiful adventure.

But it can also become a very challenging experience if you don’t know how to get the resources your child needs to make the most out of it.

Use these helpful websites and practice the three simple strategies that I shared with you. Soon you will improve your child’s overall homeschooling experience.

- Karie Ann, Parent of 3

“It’s a great way to learn Spanish, from native Spanish speakers in a 1-on-1 environment. It’s been fairly easy to schedule classes around my daughter’s other classes. The best value for us has been ordering multiple classes at a time. All the instructors have been great!”

– Cindy D, Parent of 3

- Maple, Parent of 3

“HSA offers very affordable, quality, one on one classes with a native speaker. My son has greatly benefited from taking classes. We have seen his confidence increase as well as his pronunciation improve, because he learns from a native Spanish speaker. HSA has quick, personal customer service. I have appreciated the one on one interaction and teaching that my son gets from his teachers. He has gotten to know his teachers, which has increased his confidence in speaking Spanish. Our family has been very pleased with our experience so far!”

– Maple, Parent of 3

- William R, Parent of 3

“My Son, Heath, is taking the classes. He’s been with Luisa the entire time and we absolutely love her. She is always patient and is a great teacher. Heath’s dad speaks Spanish so they get to have little conversations.”

– William R, Parent of 3
