1. Easy Peasy All-in-One Homeschool
If you are looking for a free, complete curriculum for Pre-K through eighth grade students, look no further than Easy Peasy All-in-One Homeschool!
Easy Peasy covers every required subject area through its online materials. Each grade level consists of 180 lessons in subject areas. Lessons may be read and completed straight from the website, or parents may choose to print out certain lessons.
Over the years, the Easy Peasy curriculum covers everything from learning how to read, to algebra, to Spanish, even art, and so much more!
My family used this curriculum during my youngest daughter’s Pre-K year. It provided a gentle introduction to “doing school” and was very easy to follow. The only tools required for completing Easy Peasy lessons are basic school supplies that most families already have on hand.
2. Easy Peasy All-in-One High School
Looking for a free high school curriculum? Then here’s the Easy Peasy All-in-One Homeschool version for high school students, called Easy Peasy All-in-One High School!
Similar to its counterpart for younger ages, Easy Peasy All-in-One High School offers a free and complete curriculum for students at the high school level. The website covers all required subject areas, as well as multiple elective options.
Because of the way it is laid out, high school students can easily navigate lessons independently. Although the curriculum is free, it is intended to be college-preparatory, so you can be assured your student is receiving a quality education.
I am considering many classes for my high schooler but will definitely be utilizing their Foundations course next year as an elective!
3. Under the Home
Another free and complete curriculum available online for elementary-aged students is Under the Home. The Under the Home Curriculum is Charlotte Mason-inspired, meaning students will experience a feast of subjects and a rich education.
I love how accessible Under the Home makes a Charlotte Mason education and how simply it is laid out for people who are new to either homeschooling or the Charlotte Mason ideology.
The rich feast of subjects includes the typical elementary subjects in addition to subjects like poetry, music, art history, studio art, and Shakespeare. You can access lessons directly online or choose to print lessons.
My elementary-aged students will be using Under the Home’s reading and writing curricula this upcoming school year.
4. Plain and Not So Plain
If you’re looking for a free curriculum that covers the “3 Rs” (reading, writing, and arithmetic), Plain and Not So Plain is another option.
Plain and Not so Plain offers free language arts and math curricula for grades one through nine, with a few extras, as well.
What I appreciate about this curriculum is that it is thorough but simple. Simply print out the free PDFs, and everything is open-and-go. The lessons are no-frills, with black-and-white text, and are very straightforward.
5. Mom Delights
When I’m planning for our homeschool, I like to pull from various sources for our different subject areas. I like having the freedom to customize my children’s education. For this reason, I’ve really enjoyed using some of the free homeschooling resources from Mom Delights.
I have especially loved using Gentle Grammar in my homeschool, which is a simple grammar curriculum adapted from C.C. Long’s New Language Exercises for Primary Schools.
There are four levels of Gentle Grammar, which I intend to have my elementary students complete over the course of two years. In addition to these wonderful introductory grammar lessons, Mom Delights also offers a phonics-based reading program, Charlotte Mason-style lesson sheets, notebooking pages, and so much more—all for free!
6. Inspire the Mom
If you haven’t caught on yet, I love pulling from Charlotte Mason ideology in my homeschool. (And if you’re wondering what the Charlotte Mason method is, read more here!)
One of the ways we use this method for language arts is through copywork. Inspire the Mom offers a free copywork notebook printable with 100+ notable quotes.
Get the free copywork notebook here and learn more about its benefits!
Subscribing to their email list is what provides access to the free printable, which is a small “price” to pay for a great copywork resource!
7. Ambleside Online
If you are interested in a Charlotte Mason education for your homeschool, there is perhaps no better free resource online than Ambleside Online. Being a Charlotte Mason curriculum, Ambleside Online is largely literature-based and does not require the extensive use of textbooks or workbooks.
Instead, “living books” are utilized extensively. Ambleside Online details the necessary books for each school year and term and lays out a general rubric of how to schedule the readings over the course of a year.
Many book selections are available on the public domain and are linked, but some books will need to be purchased or borrowed. Regardless, Ambleside Online takes the guesswork out of choosing literature and when to assign it.
While my family has not strictly followed Ambleside Online, I love referencing it for literature recommendations. Many families use Ambleside Online to its fullest extent and find that it provides a deep and rich education.
8. The Homeschool Compass
The Homeschool Compass has a growing free printable library with some amazing homeschool resources. Free resources include nature study materials on various topics, themed learning packets, seasonal activity packs, and more.
I love using these free printables to supplement our home learning.
9. Gentle + Classical Press
Gentle + Classical Press sells various homeschool curricula, but it also offers some amazing free resources. There are two volumes of Gentle + Classical Nature, and the Teacher’s Guide and Nature Collection Notebook for each volume are offered free of charge in a printable format.
While other paid resources are available to go along with each volume, it is definitely possible to solely use the free resources for your homeschool’s nature study.
My family has used resources from Gentle + Classical Nature Volume I and thoroughly enjoyed our nature studies!
The second volume was only recently released and features a study of shorelines and oceans—which sounds super fun! In addition to the free resources available to everyone on the website, Gentle + Classical Press also offers a free resource library for email subscribers, which includes additional freebies and very generous samples of various curricula.
10. Bookshelf Academy
Bookshelf Academy offers some truly amazing free curriculum, specifically in regards to social studies.
Since the curriculum is literature-based, you’ll need to purchase or borrow the appropriate “spines” (i.e. main books), but the curriculum schedules out all readings, gives additional literature suggestions, and, in some cases, provides additional activities or linked video-viewing options.
Everything is laid out in an easy-to-understand PDF, so the curriculum is simple to navigate.
My homeschool is utilizing My Global Community, which is a robust world cultures studies for elementary students. (The website indicates it is for K-2nd grade, but it would definitely work for older elementary-aged students as well.)
11. YouTube
For my last favorite free resource, I’d be remiss not to mention YouTube, which provides millions of free education-based videos.
The fact is, if you want to learn more about something, you’ll find a video on that topic on YouTube!
My family loves using YouTube for several specific reasons:
- it provides visuals about the places and peoples we are learning about in our history and geography studies
- We can learn more about animals we are studying or find interesting
- We watch read-alouds of books when we’re in a pinch and can’t get a physical copy
- and so much more!
There are whole channels dedicated to various educational topics, and the options are truly endless on YouTube.
I Hope You Enjoy These Free Resources!
There you have it! These 11 free homeschooling resources have been invaluable to my family, and I hope you have discovered something that will help your family in your educational pursuits.

“It’s a great way to learn Spanish, from native Spanish speakers in a 1-on-1 environment. It’s been fairly easy to schedule classes around my daughter’s other classes. The best value for us has been ordering multiple classes at a time. All the instructors have been great!”
– Cindy D, Parent of 3
“HSA offers very affordable, quality, one on one classes with a native speaker. My son has greatly benefited from taking classes. We have seen his confidence increase as well as his pronunciation improve, because he learns from a native Spanish speaker. HSA has quick, personal customer service. I have appreciated the one on one interaction and teaching that my son gets from his teachers. He has gotten to know his teachers, which has increased his confidence in speaking Spanish. Our family has been very pleased with our experience so far!”
– Maple, Parent of 3
“My Son, Heath, is taking the classes. He’s been with Luisa the entire time and we absolutely love her. She is always patient and is a great teacher. Heath’s dad speaks Spanish so they get to have little conversations.”
– William R, Parent of 3
